Ternopil: Podolyany Beer Fest
The first beer festival in Ternopil "Podolyany Oktober Fest 2011" was attended on Sunday by the fans of this drink. "Everyone was invited to taste the production of beer giants of Ukraine", - said Vasil Chubak, one of the organizers of the festival. - "Festival is held in a format that is typical for traditional beer festivals in Europe. Such festivals are held in Germany (Stuttgart Beer Festival), Czech Republic (Pilsner Fest) Ireland (Great Irish beer Festival) and other countries with a rich history of brewing. "
The program included competitions, quizzes, games and other entertaining activities with strong connection to the favorite drink of Europeans. Besides, an ethno-cultural "highlight" was prepared for the visitors: musical, dance and theater performances. Except for the Ukrainian producers of beer there were also represented cultural specialties of beer consumption and brewery products from Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Finland and Holland.
